Financial Services Representative - MetLife Resources
As a MetLife Resources (MLR) Financial Services Representative (FSR), you will be the face of MLR to your clients. You will educate them and assist them in their financial goals. Our FSRs have assigned territories and develop long-term relationships with their clients. While our representatives focus on helping employees of not-for-profit organizations achieve a secure retirement, it is common for them to also provide information and/or assist their clients with college funding, asset allocation and other matters of a financial nature. Responsibilities: Our FSRs are dedicated to helping their clients achieve their financial dreams. As a MetLife Resources Financial Services Representative, you will: Qualifications: MLR's FSRs come from diverse backgrounds with all levels of experience and knowledge. Successful representatives share some common qualities and characteristics. We are looking for people who are: Training: MLR is committed to having one of the best training programs in the financial services industry. The training process is comprised of a balance of hands-on and high-tech instruction throughout the FSR's career. To serve our clients, all of our FSRs must have securities registrations (FINRA 6 or 7, and 63), and insurance licenses. (Potential candidates do not need to be licensed for employment consideration.) Once fully licensed, the opportunity for learning never ends. As information, products and technology change in the financial industry, so do the materials and methods used in training. Basic Training – All new FSRs attend a 6-day training program in Denver, CO, where they learn basic product information and proven sales strategies. Advanced Training – After acquiring 6 months of experience in their assigned territories, new FSRs attend a 5-day training program to learn additional product information relevant to investments and insurance. Continuing Education – Ongoing training is provided through one-on-one training with the local Manager and through regional training sessions. Professional Designations – MLR encourages their FSRs to obtain industry-related professional certifications, such as: CFP®, ChFC®, CFS, CLU®. MetLife is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
